Minimo Tech ("we," "us," or "our") built the Minimo Survival Kit app as a Freemium app. This SERVICE is provided by Minimo Tech and is intended for use "as is."

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. The "Offline First" Promise

Minimo Survival Kit is designed to work in remote environments without cell service. As such, the vast majority of the data the app generates—including your GPS location, waypoints, saved routes, compass headings, and AI wildlife identifications—is processed and stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to our servers.

2. Information Collection and Use

Because the app operates primarily on your device, we collect extremely limited information:

• Location Data: The app requests access to your precise location (GPS) to provide topographical mapping, wayfinder features, and weather forecasts. This location data remains on your device. When requesting weather forecasts, your coordinates are temporarily sent to a third-party weather provider (e.g., Apple WeatherKit), but are not stored by us.
• Camera Access: The app requests camera access for the AI Identifier and SOS Strobe features. Image processing happens entirely on-device using CoreML. We do not upload, view, or store your photos.
• Motion & Fitness / Barometer: Used locally for the Altimeter, Trip Odometer, and Night Sky finder. This data is not transmitted off-device.
• Purchases: If you choose to upgrade to Minimo Survival Pro, your purchase is processed securely by Apple. We use StoreKit to verify your subscription status, but we do not have access to your credit card or billing details.

3. Third-Party Services

The app may use third-party services that collect information used to identify you. Below are the third-party service providers used by the app:

• Apple (App Store, WeatherKit, MapKit)

4. Log Data & Analytics

We do not use invasive third-party analytics SDKs. However, if the app crashes, Apple provides us with anonymous crash logs (if you have opted-in to share analytics with developers via your iOS Settings). These logs help us fix bugs and improve the app. They do not contain personally identifiable information.

5. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information (where applicable, such as when you email us for support). Remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
